Mark Mwandosya
Personal reflections and Narrations
Mark Mwandosya is a retired professor of electrical engineering from the University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. At the University he was also the holder of the professorial research chair in energy management and technology. He has devoted much of his time in research and studies in energy and natural resource development and use. Prof. Mwandosya has written a number of books and numerous publications in the fields of engineering systems, energy, water, environment, and regulation of utilities. He is currently the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Energy and Water Utilities Regulatory Authority (EWURA) in Tanzania. He has previously been Chancellor of the Mbeya University of Science and Technology and Chairman of the Governing Board of the Mwalimu Nyerere Memorial Academy. Until recently he was Chairman of Stanbic Bank Tanzania. Previously he has also been Minister of Communication and Transport; Environment; Minister of Water and Irrigation; Water and Minister of State: Environment; and Special Duties.
Prof. Mwandosya holds a BSc (Engineering) 1st class Honours from the University of Aston (1974) and a PhD in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from the University of Birmingham (1977).
